Dibrugarh, April 27: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said India should consider taking tough action against Bangladesh as well.
Speaking to reporters in Dibrugarh, Sarma said, “India should take tough action against Bangladesh also, but these are strategic decisions. We should not go beyond a point. As a chief minister, we can request, but the decision will be taken by the Government of India after considering the entire security aspects — whether to address Pakistan and Bangladesh at the same time or one by one.”

He added, “The decision will be taken by the Central government, but I share the same sentiment as other political leaders from the northeast who have demanded tough action against Bangladesh.”
Sarma further appealed to the public, saying, “The country should repose faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and refrain from expert commentary.”
