Guwahati, Mar 24: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a fresh jibe at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, asserting that repeated disregard for summons led to his arrest in the excise policy case.

CM Sarma also emphasized that if Kejriwal had responded to the Enforcement Directorate’s initial summons, his arrest could have been obviously avoided.

Meanwhile, responding to Kejriwal’s arrest, the Aam Aadmi Party has announced citywide protests in Delhi. The party’s plan of protests includes a candlelight march and effigy burning on Sunday. The citywide protests are scheduled in agitation to denounce the Bharatiya Janata Party and labeling Kejriwal’s arrest as ‘fake’.
