Guwahati, May 5: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s scheduled election rally in Mankachar was cancelled today due to adverse weather conditions.
According to reports, his helicopter was unable to take off due to the inclement weather, forcing the cancellation of the rally.
The Mankachar rally was part of CM Sarma’s campaign for the last phase of Lok Sabha election in Assam, which is scheduled for May 7. He was set to campaign on behalf of AGP candidate Javed Islam from the Dhubri Lok Sabha Constituency.
