Assam: Cycling Rally Held in Kamrup Metropolitan to Boost Voter Awareness

Guwahati, April 28: In an effort to increase voter awareness among the populace, the Kamrup Metropolitan Election District Administration, in collaboration with the Assam Cycling Community, organized a cycling rally today. The event was flagged off by District Election Officer Sumit Sattawan, marking a vibrant start to the rally.

Over 150 participants from various parts of Kamrup Metropolitan participated in this initiative. The rally aimed to engage and educate the voters about the importance of their electoral rights and participation in the democratic process.

During the conclusion ceremony, Election Officer Shekharan Phukan, SVEEP Nodal Officer Ajit Sharma, Additional District Commissioner Vikram Chetry, and Assistant Commissioner Richibandana Gogoi presented certificates to all participants. Each participant was also gifted a T-shirt as a token of appreciation for their involvement in this civic engagement activity. This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure a well-informed electorate ahead of Assam’s third and final phase of polling.
