Guwahati, Sept 23: Assam Don Bosco University’s A’chik Nokdang (Family) organized its annual Fresher’s Day on Saturday at Neexotica Hotel, Azara, to warmly welcome new students from the Garo Hills.
The event marked a vibrant celebration of culture and unity among the Garo students studying at the university.
Founded in 2018, A’chik Nokdang is dedicated to fostering solidarity and cooperation among A’chik students. Its mission is to create a supportive community, where students uplift one another and develop a strong sense of belonging.
The Fresher’s Day celebration was graced by the presence of Pastor Samarik Momin, Chaplain of the A’chik Christian Fellowship in Guwahati. In her inspiring address, Pastor Momin emphasized the importance of academic focus, commitment to Christian values, and reminded students of their potential as future leaders.
The event featured a vibrant display of Garo culture with traditional dances, music, and an array of authentic Garo delicacies, making the occasion a colorful and joyous one.
The organizers also expressed their gratitude to the Garo students of ADBU Azara, the executive members, sponsors, and media partners for their contributions and unwavering support, which made the event a resounding success.
