Guwahati, May 4: Kamrup-Metro district administration in Assam has announced dry days in the district, including Guwahati city, from May 05 and 07 ahead and during Lok Sabha elections.

During the dry period, sale and consumption of alcohol will be banned. The dry day begins at 5 pm on May 05 and will end at 5 pm on May 07.

It may be mentioned that the Guwahati constituency in Assam will go to polls for Lok Sabha elections in the third phase on May 07.

The dry days have been announced by the Kamrup-Metro district administration in Assam with the aim of maintaining public order and ensuring a smooth electoral process.
