Guwahati, Feb 12: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that solar rooftops will become a mandatory feature in all new real estate projects.

Addressing the media, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that, from now on anyone who develops a real estate project in Assam will have to complete them with solar rooftops.

Praising the budget that points to make solar roofs compulsory in real estate projects of the state, Himanta Biswa said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving a lot of focus on solar rooftops installation in real estate projects of the country.
