Guwahati, Aug 26: In a heart-wrenching incident, a woman was arrested for killing her infant girl in Assam’s Sonitpur area.
This incident comes days after a man was arrested for killing his 11-day girl child in Assam after he failed to sell her to a couple for Rs 4 lakh.
According to reports, the woman killed her girl child and buried her in a pit near the house in Itakhola.
Reports also claimed that the woman was upset over the birth of her girl child and hence decided to kill the infant.
However, the accused is yet to reveal the exact reason behind killing her infant.
Following the complaint by the locals and family members she was arrested.
