Guwahati, Nov 27: A land broker, who allegedly tried to flee from police custody, was injured in the ensuing firing in Lokhra area of Assam’s Guwahati on Sunday night.

The land broker, who is also accused of land grabbing, has been identified as Ramen Madahi.

Madahi was admitted to GMCH with an injury to his right leg. He is a resident of Lalung Gaon in Guwahati.

Madahi was apprehended by the police from Lokhra area on Sunday night. However, he tried to escape from police custody and was injured in the ensuing firing.
