Jorhat, Feb 22: In a horrific incident, a man walked into the police station with a severed head of an unidentified person in a black school bag in Assam’s Jorhat district.

The man has been identified as Luhit Gogoi.

The incident occured in Teok’s Baghmora area on Tuesday and Lahdoigarh police team has arrested Gogoi.

“Luhit Gogoi has revealed that he had murdered the person whose head he was carrying but did not reveal the identity of the deceased,” said a police official.

Meanwhile, police have started investigating the incident and the motive behind the murder. Gogoi has been taken into custody and further investigation is being conducted.
