Speaking to the media after the ceremony, Gaurav Gogoi expressed doubts about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s future, stating, “To run a coalition government, you need a large heart and an open, inclusive approach. PM Modi does not have these qualities.” He further questioned Modi’s long-term prospects as Prime Minister.

Gogoi also thanked the people of Uttar Pradesh, claiming that they have elevated Rahul Gandhi’s stature above that of Modi. “They have given Rahul Gandhi a larger mandate than Narendra Modi. The victory margin of Rahul Gandhi in Rae Bareli surpasses that of PM Modi in Varanasi,” he noted.
