Guwahati, May 3: Acting on intelligence inputs, the Noonmati Police Station of the Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) arrested Rajesh Rai alias John, hailing from Dimapur, Nagaland, with illegal firearms.

He was arrested late last night from a rented house in the Yuva Nagar area of Guwahati. During the raid, the police team recovered a factory-made .22 pistol, a magazine and 21 live rounds of ammunition from his possession.

Rai was immediately taken into custody, and legal action has been initiated against him.
