Guwhathi, June 11: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Goalpara police on Saturday arrested three suspected jihadis in Assam’s Goalpara district.
The three arrested jihadis have been identified as Jalauddin, resident of Matia, Abdus Suwahan, a resident of Govindpur, and Abdus Suwahan, a resident of Tinkonia.
Sources said the NIA arrested the three suspected jihadis on Saturday days after they were granted bail.
Meanwhile, the NIA also detained a suspected Jihadi, identified as Hafizur Rahman, just a few days after he was released on bail from judicial custody.
Rahman was arrested from his home in the Bongaigaon district.
He was taken into custody from his home in a joint operation by the NIA with the assistance of the Jogighopa Police from Kabaitari area.
