Guwahati, July 5: In a crackdown against drugs, Assam police arrested three drug smugglers from the ISBT in Guwahati with 140 grams of suspected heroin.
The arrested accused were identified as Kij Gamlin, Thomas Gayedi, and Ram Subba.
The seized heroin is estimated to be valued at Rs 12 lakh.

According to police, the three arrested are suspected to be involved in an interstate drug trafficking racket.
Of the three, Ram Subba is reported to be a resident of Gohpur in Assam while the other two are from Arunachal Pradesh.
“We have started investigation into the case. We have got a secret information regarding the trafficking of drugs and launched operation and nabbed three drug smugglers from ISBT, Guwahati,” said an police official.
