GUWAHATI, Feb 22: The Assam police have arrested six members of the newly formed Greater Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (GCLO) in a late night operation in Assam’s Gossaigaon.

The suspected GCLO members have been identified as Sanjeev Roy, Gautam Rai, Uttam Roy, Manoj Roy, Abhijit Vashisht, and Dipesh Roy.

Earlier, a video was released by the militant organisation announcing its demands and formation.

The video featured Rajdeep Koch, the group’s Assistant General Secretary, who threatened to use armed force to achieve their goal of establishing a new Kamtapur state if their demands are not met.

Following the video, State Police have launched operations to nab the persons behind the organisation.
