Dibrugarh, Sept 1: A woman along with her two children jumped in Brahmaputra River at Bogibeel “T” point under the Bogibeel bridge on Sunday evening.

According to police sources, a bag containing clothes and a mobile phone and 3 pairs of sandals were recovered from the bridge.

The police have not yet been able to trace the mother and her sons who jumped into the river.

Meanwhile, Dibrugarh police and SDRF team have arrived at the scene and have started the rescue operation.

“Her husband (who is working at Indian Army & posted at Likabali) was contacted and is now coming from Likabali. SDRF has already been informed,” said a top police official.

According to police, no identity proof/ documents have been recovered to ascertain their names.
