District Magistrate of West Garo Hills, Jagdish Chelani while speaking Exclusively to the Hub News on attack at the CMO in Tura said that the their first response was first to calm down the crowd.

We asked the leaders to come out and calm down the crowd but it was informed that the crowd was not the same who took part in the protest.

“It was a pre-planned attack and they had come to hijack the gatherings and started stone pelting,” he said.

DC further said that a total of 18 people have been detained in this incident.

He said it took less than 4 hours to control all the situation.

Anything and everything that happens, they are keeping a close watch on all events, said Jagdish Chelani.

The attack of terror will not be forgiven by the people of Tura nor the District administration.
