Shillong, Oct 18: Congress adhoc president of West Shillong Auguster Jyrwa has quit the party to join the United Democratic Party (UDP) ahead of the 2023 Assembly elections.

Jyrwa, who is a former KSU leader, will be welcomed to UDP at an induction programme to be held at Dinam Hall, Jaiaw on October 20, sources in the party informed on Tuesday.

His joining will be a big boost to the UDP, they said.
