Within a fortnight of the brutal rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata, another horrific incident of rape of a minor has come to light from Assam’s Nagaon district. Hundreds of residents of Dhing village took to streets on Friday to protest the rape, and demanded for immediate arrest of the culprits.
Fans complained that they had come to Shillong to buy tickets for the quarter final match but couldn’t get them. That is when, a scalper approached them, offering to sell the tickets at 10 times the original rate. Left with no choice, many bought the tickets at exorbitant prices to witness the quarterfinal match, which Shillong Lajong won.
