Terence D. Marak, principal of TGC, speaking to the students, said, “We have experienced a lot of climate change. Extreme heat, unpredictable rains, and natural disaster flash floods landslides in the Himalayas.”

“The waste problem surfaced after the introduction of plastic to us; there were no waste management issues before plastic was introduced,” he said.

“We now have plastic-choking rivers, bodies, and water bodies. We humans have to address this problem. Action needs to be taken now so that our future generation can live in a better world,” he added.

More than 200 students participated in the programme.
