Ampati, Sept 3: The District Administration of South West Garo Hills, Ampati, in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Public Service Delivery Commission, successfully conducted an awareness program on the Meghalaya Right to Public Service (MRTPS) Act, 2020.
The event took place at the Ampati Multipurpose Centre in South West Garo Hills.
The program was initiated with a welcome address by D. R. Sangma, Research Officer of the Planning Branch, who introduced the event’s purpose and objectives. Dr. R. Ch Marak, ADC, SWGH, Ampati, then elaborated on the services provided by the Deputy Commissioner’s office under the MRTPS Act, 2020, including the issuance of certificates, society registrations, and related issues.
Dr. W.C.R Marak, ADC in-charge Election Branch, discussed matters related to the Election Commission, while Dibyajyoti Hajong, Labour Inspector, presented on services offered by the Labour Department under the MRTPS Act, 2020. The District Transport Office also provided a presentation on transport-related services under the Act.
The program concluded with a demonstration of the commission’s web portal for the MRTPS Act, 2020, by Eliber A Marak, District Informatics Officer, NIC, South West Garo Hills, Ampati. The event aimed to raise awareness about the MRTPS Act and improve public service delivery in the region.
