Shillong, April 28:  The annual Behdienkhlam festival of Raij Chyrmang concluded on Sunday with festivities and vibrant colors at Aitnar, Chyrmang Village, in West Jaiñtia Hills.

Lahkmen Rymbui was present on the concluding day on the event other guests present for the occasion were the Dolloi of Elaka Jowai, Puramon Kynjing,and MLA Amlarem. The two-week-long celebrations witnessed traditional rituals and  gatherings.

In his address, Lahkmen Rymbui expressed gratitude to  almighty for guidance through the festivities and extended blessings to all residents of Raij Chyrmang,and  invoked a sense of unity and divine protection for the upcoming agricultural season.

Behdieñkhlam festivals in Jaintia Hills marks the post-sowing season. It serves as a precursor, allowing individuals from Raij Chyrmang to begin  the agricultural activities.

The event culminated with performances to the rhythmic beats of traditional instruments. The Fire and Emergency Services vehicle ensured smooth functioning of the event.
