TURA, Aug 23: Arrested BJP MDC from Tura Bernard N Marak alias Rimpu has been shifted to the isolation ward of the Tura Civil Hospital from the Tura district jail after testing positive for covid.
Bernard tested positive from covid three days back and was shifted to the covid ward for medical treatment. He has four more days of police custody, a total of 26 days so far, but since he is in hospital care it will be treated as judicial custody.
Once he is discharged he will be taken into police custody for the remaining 4 days before he is produced in court, inform Tura police.
