Guwahati, June 12: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday expressed his profound grief and condolences on the untimely demise of Jonali Nath.
He also directed Assam Police to initiate a thorough enquiry and bring the perpetrators of the gruesome crime to justice at the earliest.

On Sunday, the body of a female BJP leader, Jonali Nath was found dumped near National Highway 17 in Krishnai under Goalpara district at Salpara, Assam.
Police officials suspect that Jonali Nath’s was killed in a planned manner and her body was dumped by the side of the national highway.
An investigation into this case is underway.
Meanwhile, Party colleagues took to Twitter to offer their condolences.
The spokesperson for Assam BJP, Jury Sharma Bordoloi took to Twitter to offer her condolence for Jonali Nath.
