Dibrugarh, Mar 22: The president of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), Atul Bora, expressed confidence on Friday that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) alliance would secure all 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam.
Speaking to media persons at the AGP office in Dibrugarh, Assam’s Agriculture Minister Atul Bora stated, “The NDA alliance is poised to win all 14 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Assam. We have commenced our meetings, beginning with the Kaliabor constituency. Today, we have conducted meetings in Lakhimpur and Dibrugarh. Our primary objective is to support our NDA alliance candidates to secure maximum votes.”
“We are fielding candidates in the Dhubri and Barpeta seats this time. Our candidates are prepared, and they are poised to win from their respective constituencies. We have received positive responses, particularly in the Barpeta seat, and we are optimistic about securing victory with a significant margin,” Bora asserted.
Bora also mentioned, “Today, we convened a party meeting at the AGP office in Dibrugarh to discuss our strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in Dibrugarh. Sarbananda Sonowal, the BJP candidate, will be contesting from the Dibrugarh seat. We will extend our support to him to ensure his victory by securing maximum votes.”
State Health Minister Keshab Mahanta and Chabua MLA Punakon Baruah were among those present at the party meeting.
