Agartala, Nov 7: BJP’s Tripura in-charge Rajdeep Roy announced on Wednesday that the party’s ongoing membership drive in the state has reached 90-95% of its target.
Roy stated that the enrollment drive, which began on September 3 with a target of 12 lakh members, has received enthusiastic participation from the public. So far, over 10.51 lakh people have joined the BJP, with 8.51 lakh signing up online and another two lakh registering offline. The membership drive will continue until November 15.
Applauding the efforts of Chief Minister Manik Saha, state party President Rajib Bhattacharjee, and other party workers, Roy praised their role in approaching the membership goal. He noted that Tripura is on track to rank alongside larger BJP strongholds such as Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam in achieving membership targets set by the party’s central leadership.
Roy, who also serves as Vice-President of BJP’s Assam unit, described the high enrollment as a significant achievement for the party organization in Tripura.
