Shillong, Dec 4: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday announced its decision to contest from all the seats in Shillong City in the upcoming 2023 Assembly polls.

The decision was taken at the executive meeting of the BJP Shillong City District here.

A statement issued by the party informed that a resolution was passed to strengthen the party from the booth level in all the seven mandals of Shillong City.

“It was resolved that BJP will endeavour to contest in all the seats in Shillong City,” it said.

The meeting was presided over by District President, Nitin Khera and was convened by District General Secretary, Rocky Hek and was attended by all District Office Bearers as well as Executive Members.

Also present were both BJP MLAs, AL Hek and Sanbor Shullai.

The MLAs have also pledged their guidance, time and support to strengthen the party in Shillong City.
