SHILLONG, MAY 31: The body of all four victims of the landslide at Nongpriang village in East Khasi Hills District have been retrieved on Friday according to sources.
It may be mentioned that the body of the first victim was retrieved yesterday and the victim has been identified as Phisar Nongrum and another body was recovered today of Lumlang Riahtam 16 yrs.
The victims of the unfortunate incident have been identified as Phisar Nongrum (75), Kynmaw Syngai (70), Benti Riahtam (60) and Master Lumlang Riahtam (16).
The Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills, SC Sadhu also informed that ex-gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh to each of the victims’ next of kin will be transferred immediately.
