Boko, Aug 19: The Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC) successfully organized the 7th Annual Taekwondo Championship from August 16 to 18 at Boko in the Kamrup district.
Debojit Deka, Assistant Technical Officer of the RHAC Taekwondo Committee, stated that the competition featured two disciplines: Poomsae and Kyorugi. The Kyorugi competition was divided into five categories: below 5 years, below 8 years, Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior, and Senior.
Sumit Rabha, Executive Member of RHAC and President of the Organizing Committee, highlighted that the championship aimed to promote the comprehensive development of the region and foster sports talent among the boys and girls residing in the RHAC area.
“A total of 450 players from 17 clubs within the RHAC region participated in both the Poomsae and Kyorugi categories. The ‘Best Team’ award was won by Boko Dragon Academy, while the ‘Best Player’ title was secured by Davidson Rabha from the same academy,” said Bipin Rabha, General Secretary of the RHAC Taekwondo Committee.
