Shillong, Nov 10: The Khasi JaiƱtia Welfare Association (KJWA) on Wednesday released a book entitled ‘Ka Kramar Khasi Kitab V’ in the KJWA main office at Mawkhar in Shillong.
On the release of the book, Lucetta Syiem, a Senior Teacher faculty of St Mary’s School, said that the book will simplify the various meaning of the Khasi grammar.
“The content in the book will enable the students of this present generation to learn and write the Khasi language better”.
Syiem further thanked the KJWA research cell for their hard work for the initiative taken for the release of the book. She also urged the State Government to permit the students in using the book at the secondary level.
The Research Committee was headed by Prof. S. S. Majaw as the chairman, S. S. Rynjah as the Secretary along Asst. Prof. M. S. Kharsyntiew, among others. Notably, the book is prepared by the KJWA research cell with the strong support of the KJWA Central body.
The book comprises of 17 chapters and a total of 1000 copies of the book have been published by the Ri Khasi Publications, Shillong.
