Guwahati, July 31: Canadian rock legend Bryan Adams is gearing up to thrill fans across India with his highly anticipated five-city tour, commencing on December 10, 2024, in the picturesque city of Shillong.
The tour, which is expected to draw thousands of fans, will also include performances in Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, showcasing the enduring appeal of one of rock’s most iconic figures.
Adams, who first rose to fame in the early 1980s, has carved out a remarkable career with a string of chart-topping hits that have transcended generations. His soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics have made him a household name, with classics like “Summer of ’69,” “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You,” and “Please Forgive Me” becoming anthems for love and nostalgia. Over the years, his unique blend of rock, pop and folk has resonated with audiences worldwide, earning him numerous accolades, including a Grammy Award and multiple Juno Awards.
The upcoming tour is set to showcase a selection of his greatest hits, as well as songs from his latest album, “So Happy It Hurts.” Released in 2022, the album features a collection of uplifting tracks that highlight Adams’ signature sound and lyrical prowess. Fans can expect to hear a mix of old favourites and new material, ensuring a dynamic and memorable concert experience.
Adams is no stranger to the Indian music scene. He has performed in the country several times throughout his career, each time receiving an enthusiastic reception. His last visit was in 2018, when he performed in Mumbai and Bengaluru to sold-out crowds. The excitement surrounding this tour is palpable, with fans eagerly anticipating the opportunity to see him perform live once again.
The first stop in Shillong is particularly special, as the northeastern city is known for its vibrant music culture and stunning natural beauty. With its rich history of musical talent, Shillong is poised to provide an electric atmosphere for the opening night of Adams’ tour.
Following that, the tour will make its way to Gurugram on December 12, where a large metropolitan audience is expected to turn out for the iconic rock star.
Mumbai and Bengaluru, two of India’s largest cities, will host performances on December 14 and December 16, respectively. Both cities have a rich cultural landscape, and Adams’ concerts are likely to be a highlight of the musical calendar. Finally, the tour will conclude in Hyderabad on December 18, where fans will have one last chance to revel in the magic of Adams’ music.
