Agartala, Aug 6: A significant coordination meeting took place on the Maitri bridge between Nodal officers of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
The Indian delegation was led by Saroj Kumar Singh, Deputy Inspector General, Nodal officer BSF Tripura Frontier, while the BGB delegation was headed by S M Shafiqur Rahman, Director, Nodal officer South East Region, Chattogram.
The primary focus of the meeting was to address issues related to ensuring security and domination along the Indo-Bangladesh border, particularly in the challenging terrain on the eastern border (Bangladesh side).
Modalities for enhancing coordination and strengthening control were discussed during the meeting.
Such dialogues at this platform play a crucial role in improving cooperation, mutual trust, and understanding between the two border guarding forces, ultimately contributing to long-term positive outcomes.
