Tura, Jan 7: In its effort to serve our border-residing population and to inculcate a sense of security among them, 75 Bn BSF organized a free medical camp under Civic action programme at Tura on January 7.
The programme was inaugurated and chaired by S.K Sharma, DIG BSF Tura in the presence of other BSF officers and the local population. Medical staff lead by Dr. S K Sharma, CMO/SG played a crucial role in the event, medically examined the villagers and provided them with the medicines. More than 400 villagers from village Baburambil, Dalu, jatrakona, Nagrajora, Demapara, and kadamboka attended the event in which medicines, hand sanitisers, disposable hand gloves, waste compost machine etc were distributed to needy villagers.
U.K Nayal, DIG PRO BSF Meghalaya assured to continue such efforts in the future also and informed that BSF stands committed towards the service of mankind and we can be freely approached for any help.
