Shillong, Nov 5: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel under Sector Head Quarter Tura, 55 Battalion, 28 Bn, and 100 Bn BSF organized Diwali Mela at Border Out Post Gasuapara, Mahenderganj, and Dalu at Indo Bangladesh border on November 5.

These BSF jawans are away from their families and have committed themselves to the task of protecting the nation’s borders. Still, it does not stop them from celebrating their festivals at the border, which they call their ‘home’

On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Various cultural programme, Games activities, food stalls, orchestras, and Cultural programme by the border population were conducted.

Border population from neighboring villages, their Nokmas, and renowned political, social, and administrative personalities of the border area with BSF soldiers graced the occasion.
