Tura, Sept 19: Tura Futsal League 2021, organised by District Football Association (DFA), Tura in collaboration with District Sports Office, Government of Meghalaya and supported by Hub News concluded on Saturday at Don Bosco School Playground, Tura.
Bugara United scored 5-2 against Rongkhon Sports Association to secure its position as campion of the first Tura Futsal League.
Both the finalists will now represent the District of West Garo Hills at the State Futsal Championships, which will be held at Shillong in the last week of September.
Billykid A Sangma, former Minister, attended the final of the tournament and handed over the prizes along with MDC Stevie Marak, who is also the manager of the wining team.
A total of 10 clubs affiliated to DFA Tura took part in the championship. Silco A Sangma of Bugara United was awarded as best player of the tournament for his overall performance through out the league.
Kadesil Sangma of Rongkhon Sports Association was awarded as best goalkeeper, while Justwane Sangma of Rongkhon Sports Association was awarded as top scorer. He scored 12 goals in the league, wherein the team played six matches.
