Capt Williamson Govt College organises seminar on National Education Policy

Baghmara, Aug 13: Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Capt Williamson Memorial Government College, Baghmara organised a day-long seminar on National Education Policy (NEP). The seminar was sponsored by PM – RUSA.

Deputy Commissioner of South Garo Hills District, P.R.Marak, stressed on the need to implore knowledge whenever the new program and policy is being framed or implemented by the Government stating that here the stakeholders are teachers and the students.

Therefore, the stakeholders should be made well aware of such policies so that it can be implemented successfully. He further urged upon the students’ community to learn, relearn the unlearn.

The resource person, Prof Srikant Patnaik, Director of IIMT Bhubaneswar, gave a talk on Artificial Intelligence and future society. The impact and different aspects of AI in achievement outcome based education.

Another Resource Person, Prof B.P. Sahu, dwelt at length on the outcome based Education, domain and Theoretical orientation and silent features of NEP – 2020.

Besides, B.S. Lyngdoh elaborated on smart learning outcome with reference to Blooms Taxonomy.

Andreas Rynjah talked on AI in NEP – 2020. He also highlighted on learning, unlearn and relearn.
