Shillong, Oct 19: The Archdiocese of Shillong on Wednesday informed that the concluding ceremony of the centenary celebration of the arrival of the Salesian Charism in the North East India will take place on October 30. Archbishop Victor Lyngdoh informed that they have been preparing for the centenary for a long time.
“We request all the Priests, religious, faithful, past pupils, friends and well wishes to attend the Programme which will take place in Calvary, Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, Laitumkhrah,” Archbishop said.
The Holy Mass will begin at 10 am and the afternoon programme will start at 2 pm, which will conclude with the Eucharistic Adoration at 3.30 in the evening.
The Nuncio of India, Most Rev. Leopoldo Girelli will preside over the Holy Mass. The Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation will also be present in the Programme.
There will be Archbishops, Bishops, Priests, religious, faithful, invited guests from all over the world attending the programme.
The annual Eucharistic Procession will take place on November 13. The Archbishop mentioned that the Eucharistic procession is being held after a gap of 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
