Tura, June 10: The new Executive Committee of GHADC headed by CEM Benedic R Marak has appointed three MDCs to the positions of Chairmanships in various council bodies. Two of the new Chairman positions have been given to NPP MDCs while another has been given to an Independent who has extended his support to the new EC.

The NPP’s Linekar K Sangma has been made the new Chairman of Garo Hills Growers Association while Sengchim N Sangma has been made Chairman of the Planning Advisory Committee. The Independent MDC Akthar Ali has been made Chairman of Forest Advisory Committee.
