Tura, Nov 3: The West Garo Hills District Police have made elaborate traffic arrangements in Tura to ensure smooth flow of traffic and safety of pedestrians as well as attendees in connection with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Diocese of Tura, scheduled to be held at Don, Bosco Playground, Tura, on Saturday (November 4, 2023).

The following traffic arrangements have been made:

Parking Zones: Designated parking zones have been allocated to accommodate vehicles. Attendees are requested to follow the directions of the Traffic Police and the event volunteers to park their vehicles in the designated parking places.
1. Parking for VVIPs – At the Venue (Don Bosco School playground)
2. Parking for delegates (officials) – Don Bosco College, Tura
3. Parking for HMV & LMV – Government College playground
4. Parking for LMV only – Mission Compound Ground

Road Closures: Certain roads around the venue will be closed for vehicular traffic during the program on the day of the event. These closures are necessary to allow for the safe movement of pedestrians and event participants.

Traffic Diversions: To minimize congestion, traffic diversions will be in effect. Please follow the diversions and traffic police instructions to reach your destination conveniently.

No Parking/No-Entry Zones: Specific areas around the event venue will be marked as “No-Parking Zones”. Please refrain from parking in these areas to avoid inconvenience and compounding of vehicles.
1. Don Bosco Boys Hostel junction;
2. St. Xavier’s HS School junction;
3. Government College Girl’s Hostel junction;
4. Tetengkol Junction (One way entry point);
5. Chandmari Junction (One Way Entry point for LMV only upto Lepar Colony Jn.)

Public Transportation: We encourage attendees to utilize public transportation where possible to reduce traffic congestion.

Emergency Services Access: All routes for emergency services have been marked on the Traffic Arrangement Map. Please keep these routes clear at all times.

West Garo Hills’ Superintendent of Police, Abraham T. Sangma, informed that the West Garo Hills Police Department will have a dedicated team of officers, traffic personnel, and volunteers to ensure the implementation of these traffic arrangements.
