Tura, Jan 26: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma flagged of the Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) rally as a part of the 75th Republic Day festivities at the Matchakolgre L P School field, in Tura on Friday.
The Bilgaro Republic Day Run 2024, organised by the Tura Motor Sports Club (TMSC), marked a celebration of sportsmanship and an emphasised on road safety awareness.
Participants in the 2W and 4W categories showcased their driving skills, with TMSC leading the trophy distribution ceremony.
In the 2W category, the winners are:
1st Prize: Brando Marak & Apnine Ch. Sangma
1st Runner-up: Chingku Momin & Hezar M Marak
2nd Runner-up: Allewy Sangma & Chinangra T Sangma
And in the 4W category winners are:
1st Prize: Niezer Sangma & Anand Sangma
1st Runner-up: Tingku Marak & Chingrak R Marak
2nd Runner-up: Daniel Sangma & Siddharth Sangma
Beolin Marak secured victory in the Family 2W category, while Tingku Marak claimed the top spot in the Family 4W category.
Earlier today, TMSC conducted a seminar at Don Bosco College, stressing the importance of road safety. Additionally, an essay writing contest on the topic “The Role of students in ensuring road safety” was organised, with Arghadeep Ghosh from Don Bosco Centre for Learning, emerging as the winner.
TMSC expresses gratitude to the West Garo Hills District Administration for their support in making the Bilgaro Republic Day Run 2024 a success.
