League’s Second-Phase kicks off tomorrow
Tura, May 13: The Tura Football League 2024 is set to enter its second phase of fixtures starting Tuesday, kicking off with the league’s 17th match between Maram FC and Druma Sandruma at the Chandmari Football Turf in Tura.
The semi-final and final matches of the league are scheduled for next month.
In the first phase, a total of 16 matches has been played and the league has seen a kaleidoscope of events, with some teams maintaining their top spot throughout while others surprisingly making their way gradually up the table, there also has been some easy wins via walkover and also some absolutely dominating victories.
Chipakkore FC leads the table as they head into the second phase with 12 points with four matches played. Meanwhile, Garuda Foundation remains static in bottom of the table with zero points in four matches.
Two walkover wins have been recorded so far, with Garuda Foundation and Druma Sandruma failing to show up for their respective matches, resulting in easy victories for their opponents.
Notably, West Balalgre Club, initially in fourth position, has secured the second spot in the league table with 9 points, following a victory in their last match. This has pushed them ahead of teams like Selsella SA and Maram FC, both with 7 points.
The developments in the first phase have set the stage for high excitement in the second phase, as teams are closely trailing one another.
