Tura, Dec 25: The BSF, while continuing its core duty of border guarding has also been committed to raise the happiness index of bordering population in the remote village of IndoBangladesh border.
Joining the people of Garo Hills in celebrating Christmas, the 28 Bn BSF under SHQ BSF Tura, Dobasipara participated by sending its orchestra band for performance among the border population. The band performed to the tunes of chart buster hits and local songs for the border population in the villages of border area of 28 Bn BSF in South West Garo Hills.
The border population comprising of children, youth and the elders joined the celebrations participating in the song and dance events as the BSF musical band belted out one musical hit after another.
The local talented singers were also given an opportunity to show their talent.
As part of the week-long celebrations a series of cultural programmes have been organized at remote village location on International border on different dates starting from Christmas eve and continued upto first week of new year.
