Shillong, Dec 24: Khyndailad, the heart of Shillong, is bustling as thousands come to witness the glitz and glitter the shipping hub has been adorned with for the Christmas season. But the crowd is not just for the late evening, it is through the night as people thronged the area even at midnight.
Even at 12 midnight, thousands flocked to Khyndailad to admire the stunning Christmas lights décor in the area, resulting in traffic jam was witnessed on Friday night – early Saturday morning.
The decoration this year has been magical to say the least that people are ignoring the cold December night to see the lights display at Khyndailad, otherwise more popularly known as Police Bazaar.
Hub News captured visuals of a massive traffic jam at Khyndailad, with Traffic Police actively monitoring and managing the roads to prevent congestion, even in a winter midnight.
Shillong is known to celebrate Christmas in special manner and the city comes alive with amazing light works and décor during this time of the year; thousands were spotted strolling around Khyndailad, taking pictures for their social media handles.
