Guwahati, Aug 7: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday inaugurated a state-of -the-art Auditorium at Block-E of the Royal Global University, Assam in the presence of Ashok Kumar Pansari, Chancellor, teachers, staff and students of Royal Global University.
In his speech, the Chief Minister said he believes in human development and education. He said the infrastructure and facilities available at Royal Global University are of quality and second to none. He further emphasised the need for research and development, which would bring about innovation, thus finding solutions to many problems that the region faces.
He lauded the university in its endeavour to provide quality education to students in the region and said that it is at par with the quality of education in mainland India and even abroad.
“It is with institutions like this that need to shape our youth to be ready for any scenario whether locally or at an international level,” he emphasised.
“It is time we as a region rise to the challenge and become key players in many sectors in the country both in terms of skilled competent workforce and also innovation. We are to contribute positively towards the betterment of society and I believe the youth are key to this revolution,” he further said.
The program concluded with the Chief Minister having a brief interaction with the students of the college.
