Shillong, Jan 11: The Confederation of Meghalaya Social Organizations (CoMSO) on Monday decided to intensify their agitation demanding inner line permit in the state. The anti influx group has decided to organize agitation on January 21 at Shillong and other district headquarters.
Aiming to make the Inner Line Movement a mass movement, the Confederation of Meghalaya Social Organizations (CoMSO) on Monday said it will reach out to the leaders in Khasi Jaintia and Garo Hills. This resolution was taken by CoMSO in a meeting held in Shillong. After the meeting, CoMSO CoMSO chairman Robert June Kharjahrin said, “we don’t want to make this to be only the movement of political parties or pressure, we want to make this as a movement.”
CoMSO chairman Robert June Kharjahrin said, “We will meet traditional heads as we want to make this as very strong movement, we want this movement to gain solid momentum so that central government should understand the aspiration of indigenous people.”
