Shillong, Feb 28: Ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections, the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee has appealed to the citizens of the state to be cautious of the saffron party and not get swayed by the jingoism played by the BJP.
During a press conference at the Congress Bhawan in Shillong, AICC Northeast Media Coordinator Matthew Anthony stated that they have witnessed significant injustice by the incumbent government in Delhi since 2014, encompassing economic, social, and political spheres.
Acknowledging past mistakes by the Congress party, Anthony emphasized their commitment to rectifying errors and governing the country with the people in mind. He expressed confidence in the electorate’s choice and asserted that Congress offers an alternative to the decade-long injustice.
Anthony highlighted the staggering unemployment rate in India, citing statistics that reveal high unemployment rates among youth and educated individuals. He questioned the BJP’s governance and urged them to address the realities of life rather than deceive people with religious and other distractions.
