Tura, Feb 18: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Sunday inaugurated the Thakurbari Guest House and Annapurna Hall at Tura alongside Speaker of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Thomas Sangma.
Prana Pratishtha, a hindu ritual to erect the idol of Lord Rama is currently underway at Thakurbari Temple. The rituals and ceremonies will complete on February 22.

Chief Minister took the opportunity to extend his greetings to the Hindu community of Tura.
The new infrastructure at Thakurbari were funded by Chief Minister Special Development Fund (CMSDF).
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Government will support organisations to introduce skill training and empowerment of the youth. He also said that Government has introduced various programmes to promote entrepreneurship and the youth should avail the benefit of such programmes.
