Shillong, Sept 18: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Saturday effected a major reallocation of Cabinet portfolios to his Ministers. The portfolio reshuffling has been done among four Ministers, namely, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, James K. Sangma, Sniawbhalang Dhar and Dasakhiatbha Lamare.

The Health & Family Welfare department and the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, which were with Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, have been given to James K. Sangma. In addition, he’s also been given the charge of Registration & Stamps department.

Meanwhile, the Power department has been given to Tynsong, which was earlier held by James.

Sniawbhalang Dhar has been given the departments of General Administration and Fisheries , which were earlier held by Dasakhiatbha Lamare. In addition,  he’s been given the Tourism Department.

Dasakhiatbha Lamare has been given the Transport Department, which was earlier with Dhar.

The portfolios of other Ministers remain intact.

Prestone Tynsong: Power Department, Housing Department, Parliamentary Affairs Department, Public Works (Roads) Department.

James K Sangma: Health & Family Welfare Department,  Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Forests & Environment Department, Information & Public Relations Department, Law Department, Taxation, Registration & Stamps department.

Sniawbhalang Dhar : General Administration Department, Fisheries Department, Tourism Department, Commerce & Industries Department, Urban Affairs Department, Municipal Administration Department.

Dasakhiatbha Lamare: Transport Department, Public Works  (Buildings) Department.
