Shillong, Oct 26: Deputy chief minister incharge PWD (Buildings) Prestone Tynsong on Thursday informed that the construction of a new Meghalaya House at Aurangzeb road in Delhi will soon start.
Tynsong said the government has already got the sanction for the construction of the circuit house or Meghalaya House.
“Now, we are working out the necessary documents to invite the tender for construction of the new Meghalaya House at Aurangzeb road. The sanction amount is about Rs 30-31 crore,” he said.
This will be the third Meghalaya House in the national capital. The existing Meghalaya Houses are – one at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road, constructed in 1982, and the other at Vasant Vihar that was inaugurated in the year 2012.
