Shillong, June 6: Meghalaya on Sunday recorded 690 new recoveries, taking the total number of recovered COVID-19 patients to 32,471.

East Khasi Hills recorded 360 recoveries, East Garo Hills – 15, East Jaintia Hills – 6, Ri-Bhoi district – 25, North Garo Hills – 15, South Garo Hills – 5, South West Garo Hills – 35, South West Khasi Hills – 64, West Garo Hills – 56, West Jaintia Hills – 85, and West Khasi Hills – 21.

Meanwhile, 488 new cases were detected, taking the total cases in the state so far to 38,718 while 5,583 active cases. The state also reported 12 fresh deaths, taking the tally to 664. Of the 12 deaths, 11 occurred in East Khasi Hills and one in West Jaintia Hills.
